Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus and I wish you a successful and blessed day. In this opportunity, I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. My name is Roven Grave and I am 16 years old. As you know, I am not studying, but I continue helping my mother by taking care of her domestic animals. In addition, I work with my grandfather doing farming, and with the money that I earn, I help my mother with home expenses. In the future, I want to travel to Guatemala City in order to work in a grocery store. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with others. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because our custom is to eat “tamales” (a typical dish) with my family. I like to drink soft drinks. What I would like to have for my birthday is a cake. My favorite sport is basketball. Thank God, the rest of my family and I are in good health.
My mother`s name is Petronila Simaj Benito. She is 31 years old. At the moment, she continues working as a maid with some neighbors three times a week. In addition, she raises cows and hens at home. As you know, my father abandoned us some years ago, so my mother works hard to support us financially. We grow corn and black beans for our family's consumption, but sometimes the corn is not enough. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries and corn. I want to let you know that we continue attending the Christian Church every Saturday. Thank you to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words to us during the visit. My family and I are grateful to Living Water because thanks to your support I receive medical and dental attention in the clinics. In addition, I have a meal and spiritual support at the Feeding Program. Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through LW Adopt-A-Child in December and for reading my letter. May God bless you greatly!
Huge hugs,
Roven Grave
