My Story

Hello! I appreciate so much that you are reading my update information. We attend Prince of Peace Church and we go on Mondays and Wednesdays. We appreciate that the LW staff took the time to encourage us to pray and trust in God. I am healthy and so is my family. My father is Rogelio, and his age is 41 years old. I want to tell you that he traveled to the United States last year, and at the moment, he is working on building wooden houses. Thankfully, he is sending us financial support. My mother is Catarina and she is 39 years old. She stays busy with the chores at home and raises hens for selling to get some income. Furthermore, we grow corn for our consumption.

My name is Keily Liliana Garcia Garcia, and I am already 14 years old. I am a sixth-grade student; I receive classes at school, and I like to study in this way because my learning is much better. I appreciate the effort my father does to support me at school. The teaching profession catches my attention, and I would like to study for it. I would like to learn English; I think it is a very interesting language. I love Christmas time; we usually prepare “tamales y ponche” (a typical dish and hot fruit punch) to share in Christmas Eve dinner. To celebrate my birthday, I ask my mother for a cake, and if she has the possibility, she buys it. I like drinking sodas and my favorite is Pepsi. I enjoy playing, but the sport I like the most is football. My siblings and I are very thankful for the tasty meals that we receive in the program; it is a great blessing to have a plate of food. We are a big family and our greatest needs are food, corn and clothes. Every blessing for you!
