My Story

Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you and hope you have a blessed and brilliant day. I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. I am Margarita Grave Tziquin and I am 12 years old. I want to let you know that we are not attending any Church. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with my cousin, and she is thinking about the invitation that they give her to attend the church and for their encouraging words. This year, I am in 2nd grade at school. I continue receiving face-to-face classes and I learn a lot about the topics. At the moment, my cousin Jesus is making an effort to support me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive.  My dream is to continue with my studies. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with others. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because I like to eat “tamales” (a typical dish) with my family. Among sports, my favorite is football. I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of financial resources, but I would like to do it. I prefer to drink “Mosh and Incaparina” (hot and typical beverages).  By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health.

As you know, my father passed away some years ago.  My mother abandoned us many years ago. Currently, I continue living with my cousin Paulina Hernandez Benito. She is 50 years old. She continues doing chores at home and takes care of us. Moreover, she raises hens, turkeys, sheep, and pigs for sale and gets some income. My cousin´s name is Jesus Franco Simaj.  He is 48 years old.  He earns a living by working in the United States. He sends a monthly to support the home expenses. We grow corn, black beans, coriander, and radishes also for sale and earn a little money. We are a humble family and our current needs are groceries. We are grateful to you and to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support.  Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at the year´s end. I send you many greetings.  May God bless you!

Warm regards,

Margarita Grave Tziquin
