My Story

Special regards to all of you! I am glad and grateful to the Lord for allowing me to share a little about my life with you. This is Jairo Manuel Tzoy de la Cruz, and I am 15 years old. I work as a day laborer alongside my father. He taught me all I need to know about the field and crops, so I identify with him so much. We are a low-income family, so it has been challenging to buy medicine when somebody is sick or to cover other needs. However, God has been good to us because we have not lacked our daily bread.  Jesus is our Savior, and I trust that He can heal my mother. Please pray for her healing. She has suffered from headaches and heartburn for a long time. She went to the doctor and got medicine, but she has not felt better.

Despite her health issues, she dedicates her full time to taking care of our family, while my father and I go to work. I am glad because my father is doing well. We are part of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Church. There are many activities at church, but we enjoy taking part in the patron feast of our town (it is a yearly celebration dedicated to a saint, which includes religious and cultural activities). Before saying goodbye, I want you to know that my best friend’s name is Jose. We have been friends for a long time. We sometimes gather to play soccer or talk.
