My Story

Hello! My full name is Edy Mateo Tzoy de la Cruz, and I am pleased to write this letter for you. I am 12 years old, and I live with my parents and six siblings. They attend the feeding program with me. I want to use this opportunity to ask you to pray for my mother. She has suffered from headaches and heartburn for a long time. She went to the doctor and got medicine, but she has not felt better. Despite her health issues, she dedicates her full time to taking care of our family. I am the luckiest child because I have an understanding and loving mother like her. While she keeps busy at home, my father works as a day laborer to bring food home. We have passed through a hard economic situation, but God has never left us alone.

We are a Catholic family, and we have learned that Jesus is God’s son and our Savior. We attend Catholic Charismatic Renewal Church and enjoy taking part in the patron feast of our town (it is a yearly celebration dedicated to a saint, which includes religious and cultural activities). Now, let me tell you a little bit more about me. I made a good friend when I was in first grade. His name is Santos Domingo, and we have a lot of fun playing soccer. Today, I am in sixth grade. I am doing my best not to fail at school. It is time to say goodbye, but I hope you found my information engaging.
