My Story

It is a beautiful day to greet you through this and I hope you find my letter interesting! My name is Marleny Evelinda Gonzalez de la Cruz. I am now 13 years old. We are attending Prince of Peace Church and we like to participate in the First Fruit services; it is very special. My grandma is sure of her salvation and accepted Jesus in her heart. My biological father is not in my life because he abandoned us and we know nothing about him. So, my mother struggles to provide for our needs. She works in a tortilla shop in Guatemala City and comes to visit us only twice a year. She stays with us for three days, and then, she returns to her job. Meanwhile, my sister and I are under my maternal grandmother´s care. She is a housewife and raises hens to sell and get an income. I am so happy because my family and I are in good health.

I am in 5^th grade this year. Marisol and I have been friends since childhood and we enjoy playing tag. Jesus is my helper and is at my side all the time. For me, it has been hard to be away from my mom, and it makes me feel so sad. However, I am praying to God, asking for comfort in my heart. I love my grandma because she takes care of me very well. I would like you to know that my grandma, Marta, shared this information with an evangelism teacher to update you about me.
